2009 Dragon Boat Festival September 12, 2009 – Recruiting for rowers now! Join the winning team!
The 14th Annual Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival will be held at Lake Lanier once again. MAG team has been participating in the event in the past 4 years and has been among the winning teams. Support MAG at Asian Cultural Experience (ACE) on July 25-26, 2009 @ Gwinnett Center
MAG will be participating in this year’s ACE.
We will have a dance performance and batik making demonstration booth. There will also be many other Asian cultural represented in the event.
One of our corporate members – Lina Angel will be selling some authentic Malaysian Batik (web link) selection at the event.

The MAG dance troupe performed at the APAC annual banquet May 9, 2009 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel. The banquet featured many Asian cultural performances including an outstanding opening ceremony with a “parade of nations” with each country representatives wearing traditional costumes holding their respective country flag.

On June 6th, the Georgia Asian Pacific Islander Community Coalition will be hosting the 2nd annual Asian American Cancer Awareness Summit to recognize Asian American Cancer Awareness Day. This year’s theme is, “Health Equity and Justice Now.”The half day summit will feature an opening plenary from the Asian Pacific Islander American Health Forum’s Policy Director, Deanna Jang. Ms. Jang will begin the day with a look at the The Blueprint for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Health and Health Care Reform. Questions?
