Mark your calendar!August 15, 2009, Zoo Atlanta800 Cherokee Avenue SE,Atlanta, GeorgiaOnce again, MAG will be hosting a Malaysia Fest that will showcase the colorful Malaysian culture:• Special guided tours of South East Asian wildlife at Zoo Atlanta • Cultural performances • Arts and crafts vendors • Demonstration of Malay, Chinese and Indian wedding ceremonies • Glamorous Batik Fashion show by Lina Angel • Community awards and student scholarships • Pasar Malam” night bazaar with things to see and buy • All-you-can-eat Malaysian vegetarian buffet • Panda feeding – exclusive viewing only for attendees at the 5:30 PM event • For the first time among all Asian events in Atlanta, this will be a GREEN & earth-friendly event (promoting recycling efforts, minimal use of plastics, and more.)Time: 10 AM to 5:00 PM: Visit Zoo Atlanta with special guided tours of South East Asian wildlife, Malaysian cultural demonstrations at the Coca-Cola World Studio in Action Resource Center - e.g. batik making, Malay, Indian & Chinese wedding demonstrations. 3:00 – 5:00 PM: Opening Ceremonies with cultural performances and batik fashion show at the Coca-Cola World Studio (The Coca Cola World Studio). 5:30– 8:30 PM: Malaysian Vegetarian Dinner Buffet, “Pasar Malam”/Night Bazaar & exclusive viewing of Panda feedingWe are looking for vendors/ sponsors/ performers/ attendees for this event.
